Pomegranate Strawberry & Rosemary Fizz Elixirs

Elixirs are a fun AND medicinal way to add some health into your home. During the holiday season, we all go a bit overboard with drinking. It can feel like a relief when there is are more options, when it comes ti beverages . It also gives you bonus points for creativity, because let’s face it, there are usually only three options for drinks at a gathering- water, soda, or alcohol.
Here is a recipe for a yummy and delicious mocktail that will give you glowing skin and a strong immune system during the winter season. Adding herbal tinctures to your mocktails, like ginseng, can make the mood and vibes high at a party. It can add energy and take stress away from all who partake!
With New Years a few days a way, I wanted to incorporate pomegranate into a delicious drink. Why pomegranate? It’s an old superstition in my family, that on New Years Eve, one should eat the seeds of a pomegranate. Ingredients:
A bag of Strawberries
2 cups Pomegranate Seeds
1 Lemon
One 12 oz sparkling water (I like to use Richard’s sparkling rain water)
Fresh Rosemary
Asian Ginseng Tinture (symbolizing health, good fortune, and vitality)
Red Rose flower essence (represents passion, success, and new beginnings)
Rosemary simple syrup ingredients:
1 Rosemary Bundle
Cane Sugar or Brown Sugar
Directions for simple syrup:
Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of water to saucepan
Add 1 rosemary sprig
Simmer until sugar is dissolved and becomes a thicker consistency
Let sit until cool
Directions for Mocktail:
Juice 2 1/2 cups pomegranate seeds (if you don’t have a juicer, buy the juice fresh or cold pressed)
Juice about 2 handfuls of strawberries
Mix strawberry and pomegranate juice in a pitcher
Then add 4 drops of tincture, and 4 drops of flower essences, a squeeze of a lemon and the sparkling water
Pour 1 tablespoon of simple syrup into individual glasses
Add ice cube (if desired)
Pour beverage into glasses, stir
Garnish with rosemary
