‘Easy peasy lemongrass squeezy’ spritz
A lemongrass spritz… an elixir if you will. Made in a little time from simple ingredients with no juicing or big messes required. Happy- almost end of- dry January!!
I’ve been craving lemongrass so I decided to share what I made for my weekly mocktail Monday hehehe.
This is a solo or two person recipe
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 lime
Stalks of lemongrass
Boiling water
Honey
Sparkling water
Lemongrass tincture
Flower or crystal essences
Cut one or two lemongrass stalks into small pieces, then place them in a heat safe cup, boil hot water and pour boiling water over lemongrass. Let cool.
Mix in the honey and a squeeze of lime to your desired sweet, sour levels
In a glass, pour the ice and sparkling water (it’s always optional for health reasons to skip the ice and sparkling water but to add extra fanciness I like to include it). Then pour in the cooled lemongrass tea honey and lime mix
Use part of the stalk as a garnish for the glass
Add your tincture and essences to top it off! Lemongrass tincture can be used for digestion (cramps, bloating), pain/inflammation (headaches, arthritis), stress/sleep (anxiety, insomnia), and immune support.
Enjoy! Bonus points if you journal, light a candle, or take a bath with your health tonic!
